The Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative, launched by the European Commission in 2018, aims to shape the future internet as an interoperable platform ecosystem that embodies the values that Europe holds dear: openness, inclusivity, transparency, privacy, cooperation, and protection of data.
Since its operation the programme funded around 800 open source projects covering all aspects of the internet stack.
Under the Horizon Europe 2022-2023 Work Programme the NGI initiative calls for proposals distributed in 4 topics. The Session will focus on two topics :
– Pilots for the Next Generation Internet (HUMAN-01-12)
– Next Generation Internet Commons Policy (HUMAN-01-14)
The Info Session will offer the opportunity to get insights and ask questions regarding specificities of the call as well as networking with potential proposers.
The call for proposals is open since 8 December 2022 and will close on the 29 March 2023 at 5:00 pm.
