ARISE 2nd Open Call
ARISE will make industrial HRI deployments simpler, cheaper, and more widespread in Europe by developing and demonstrating the concept of AgileHRI. On its way to materialise such a vision, the ARISE project will i) address major application challenges from today’s industry, ii) develop human-centric solutions, tools, and software modules which expand the state-of-the-art in industrial HRI, and iii) deploy industrial HRI at scale in four testing and experimentation facilities and more than 25 workplaces across Europe (FSTP Projects). The ARISE project will address these challenges using cutting-edge open-source technologies from the European innovation ecosystem and will make a significant adavance on their state-of-the-art to position Europe globally at the forefront of industrial HRI.

Objectif
ARISE aims to select up to 13 projects in this 2nd open call for HRI-enabled solutions for industrial robotics automation. These projects will be consortium based, with a tech provider for developing solutions, and an end user setting the industrial case, for a robotized process to be improved or updated with Human-Robot Interaction capabilities.

Who can apply?
Teams composed of up to 3 entities. At least 1 SME per team is required and it has to be the team leader. The entities will have any of the following roles:
1. Main Technology provider (mandatory): SME (including Startups) and Mid-Caps responsible for the development of HRI capabilities;
2. A second Technology provider (optional): may be an entity of any type with a technical profile;
3. End-user (mandatory) proposing the use-case setting the needs of the HRI application
Conditions:
o If the main Technology provider is an SME, the end-user may be either the same SME or another entity of any type.
o If the main Technology provider is not an SME,or, if there is no second technology provider, or if the second Technology provider is not an SME, the end-user has to be an SME.
All entities have to be legally established in any EU Member States and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) or Horizon Europe Associated countries.

Typologie de consortium
The selected projects will benefit from the 2nd ARISE Open Call in the following ways:
● participating in a 12-month Support and Mentoring Programme,
● receiving a grant in the maximum amount of up to EUR 200,000 per project.
The solution has to include at least one collaborative robotics application and it has to be tested and evaluated in a TRL6-7 demonstrator before the end of the project. Projects can last up to 12 months.
"The proposal should also cover the commitment to leverage the open-source middleware provided by the ARISE project, as well as to contribute with an open reference implementation of areusable HRI module to the project’s Open Library."
